Saturday Recommendation #7

Hey guys I’m typing this up really quickly on my phone. I’ve been having headaches and allergies all day and completley forgot about my pride and joy that is this blog so this will be a really quick recommendation!

Today, I am recommending…The Coldest Girl In Coldtown by Holly Black. Here’s the summary:

Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey. The only problem is, once you pass through Coldtown’s gates, you can never leave.

One morning, after a perfectly ordinary party, Tana wakes up surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of this massacre are her exasperatingly endearing ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the wicked, opulent heart of Coldtown itself.

Why am I recommending this? Because I really haven’t seen anything else like it. Yes it’s a sarcastic vampire novel, yes there’s romance, and yes there’s a jerk of an ex-boyfriend BUT the universe is something else entirely THAT I WISH Holly would explore more maybe a novel that shows a vampire’s view point? Maybe? Anyways, that it for this Saturday Recommendation. Have you read TCGICT? If so, what did you think? Love you guys! Bye! ~Blondie
