Girl Online Book Review!!

Hey guys, it’s Blondie and today I am reviewing Girl Online by Zoe Sugg!

Okay I’m not even going to lie, the soul reason I picked up this book was because it was written by the famous YouTuber Zoella.I don’t exactly watch her videos regularly but from what I’ve seen she’s a super sweet person and she’s really good at makeup. Anyway here’s the summary of her book:

Penny has a secret.

Under the alias GirlOnline, Penny blogs her hidden feelings about friendship, boys, high school drama, her quirky family, and the panic attacks that have begun to take over her life. When things go from bad to worse at school, her parents accept an opportunity to whisk the family away for Christmas at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. There, she meets Noah, a gorgeous, guitar-strumming American. Suddenly Penny is falling in love—and capturing every moment she spends with “Brooklyn Boy” on her blog.

But Noah has a secret, too, one that threatens to ruin Penny’s cover—and her closest friendship—forever.

Also, their are rumors of this novel being ghostwritten but, I’m not going to get in to that.

Okay, this book was good, but it wasn’t like crazy good. The soul reason it has done this good is because it says Zoe Sugg on the cover. But honestly there’s nothing wrong with that seeing as I don’t think that Zoe would write this book with the main reason being a cash flow.

Anywho, the main character Penny is really relatable, quirky (in a great way), and I really connected with her. And, the love interest, Noah is what I always look for in a love interest when a boo is set in 1st person and there’s one person narrating, is that you feel just like the narrator and can’t help wanting to see the love interest and smile when he’s featured through out a chapter.

My rating:

3.8 out of 5 stars. It was s close to four but just not quite a four but definitely not a 3.5.

Would you read more by this author?

Yes! I’m planning on picking up Girl Online: On Tour (the 2nd book) next time I run by Books-a-million!

Would you recommend this book to others?

Yes, but only if I knew that person was really into gushy romance and contemporary. Anyone else probably not.

Alright guys that’s all for me! Have you read Girl Online? What did you think? And do you watch Zoella on YouTube? Love you guys! Bye! ~Blondie
