So, I’m going to start a new weekly series called, “Weekend Reads.”
So, this series will have a new post every Saturday. And with that new post, a new recommendation. And, if you’re like me, you read books faster than you can read them. So, a weekly recommendation will be very useful.
So, this week’s recommendation is *drumroll please…Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider!
I did write a review on this, but I strongly urge you not to read it. Which I know all of you will now need to read it. But, when you do read it, remember this was my first review ever, I had just finished the book, I loved it, I was shell-shocked by this book, and I was incapable of being my usual, lovely, sarcastic self. I also said “and” so” “then” those kind of words that I still struggle with. Oops.
Okay, so this book takes place in the very new future, it’s either less than two years from now, or at the same time as the present, just taken a turn for the worse.
And, this also takes place in a sort of boarding school/hospital/asylum/retreat. In this book, tuberculosis (TB) has resurfaced. And it’s incurable, drug resistance , and most importantly contagious. So, they send the teenagers that are sick to a boarding schoolish type place until they get better. And it’s extremely rare for them to get better.
This is an easy, fast read. I strongly recommend this to you poor victims suffering reading slump.
So, that’s all for this week. I’ll have another recommendation next Saturday! Bye. ~Blondie
