Eleanor & Park Book Review

here.Eleanor was right. She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn’t suppose to be nice; it’s suppose to make you feel something.

Eleanor sitting next to him on the couch made Park feel like someone had opened a window in the middle of the room. Like, someone had replaced al the air with a new, improved air (now with twice the freshness.)

Eleanor made him feel like something was happening. Even when they were just sitting on the couch.

This book is so good! I now understand why everyone loves this book. I love Rainbow Rowell with all my heart, she’s amazing, Fangirl and Carry On (read my review for Carry On by clicking here. ) are amazing, but I just didn’t expect this level of maturity, with a dash of immaturity. Just amazing, and extraordinary, and any other word you can use to describe something that’s this good.

So, this book is about 2 people, a girl named Eleanor, and a dude named Park. It takes place over one school year in 1986. But, half the time I forgot they were in the late 80s and not the 21st century. It’s kind of freaking, but I did notice no computers or smart phone or iPads. Weird, how things change extremely, but people still don’t change that much.

I’m not going to go that much into detail with summary, because I think it’s best if you go into this book not knowing much about it, but if you really need to see the summary you can click on the link right  here.

So, I give this book a 10 out of 5 stars. There’s something about this book that is just so raw and rare and unique that makes you want to curl up read it in a day, cry, and laugh, and throw the book all at the same time. And no I totally didn’t do that…I read it in 1 1/2 days.

Alright that’s it for this review, and I think I’m on a roll two reviews in two consecutive days, that’s like a record for me. If you have a book recommendation for me, please leave it in the comments or PM me on Twitter or Instagram. (Links on the home page, and the little bar that pops up on, on the left, yeah you know what I’m talking about) Alright guys, just so you know the next book I’m reading is the Magnus Chase book by Rick Riordan. Finally, so that review should be up soon. Also my birthday is coming up on December 1st, which is crazy, I’m going to be 13! AH! Well that’s all for now. ~Blondie
